Five Stars?
Wha? decent audience recording but c'mon. Not a five star sound. No disrespect to the taper and the work involved. I was there and the show was too loud and the PA was being pushed too hard. I'm praying someone out there has a recording that is worthy of the historic nature of this concert and somewhat close to the level of quality we've been so blessed with in the last few years of the Cardinals.

March 22, 2009 Subject:
Quite Possibly The Best RA/Cardinals Show Ever
I've seen Ryan Adams (and/or the Cardinals) about 6 times in the last 4 or 5 years, and have downloaded more than 20 shows from this site.
Several of the shows I saw were great, as are several of the 20+ shows I downloaded here, but March 20 at the Fox was the best I've seen or heard. You've probably already seen reviewers who said it's the best show they've ever seen (of any musician).
Adams and the Cardinals were ON FIRE from the opening bars of Magick right to the very end.
During the concert, Adams never said anything about this being their last show, but as the house lights went up, a bizarre version of "I did it my way" followed by Kansas' "All we are is dust in the wind" seemed fitting choices for a band that, if Adams is to be believed, is now dust in the wind.
I've not heard Adams say that this is the end of the road as a musician, and doubt very seriously he'd call it quits. Someone with the amount of energy this guy has displayed, especially in the last 5 years or so, not to mention at the Fox Theatre, on March 20, can't possibly just call it quits for good.
Thanks for recording and uploading this spectacular show. It's the next best thing to actually being in the crowd that night. It'll allow those of us who were there to relive this mind blowing concert experience over and over again, and those who weren't to get a taste of the magick.
